Jetstar's
Operations Delivery
team are nothing less than the nerve centre of our airline. All of our team members within our Operations Delivery team play a critical role in managing the logistics compliance and safety relating to daily movements of our aircraft, team members and passengers.
As the
Crewing Officer
you will maintain the integrity of Jetstar's "Day of Operations" flying program by ensuring Jetstar complies with regulatory, company, and industrial requirements for all tech & cabin crew. Reporting to the Manager Crewing Operations & Planning, you will work as part of an energetic and experienced team to ensure all flights are crewed on a daily basis in compliance with the requirements of the Company Operations Manuals and applicable CASA legislation.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Ensure all flights have the sufficient crew complement in response to changes in crew availability and daily operational schedule variations
Ensure all rosters and allocated duties / changes comply with rostering limitations and all applicable CASA legislation
Monitor the day-to-day Operations and ensure all Crew Movements are maintained in accordance with CASA and Company requirements to optimise the Daily Operational Integrity
Liaise with the Training team to ensure all Flight crew training requirements are achieved
Ensure all crew are notified of any changes to their published roster in a timely manner
Manage accommodation and transportation for crew movements
Ensure all reports and support functions are actioned as per company and departmental policy
Ensure all Government and Airport Departments (i.e. Immigration, Customs and Handling Agents) nationally and internationally are kept up to date with all relevant documentation
Ensure all crew that are travelling as a passenger are booked and ticketed on their respective flights
Maintain a working relationship with Crew Planning Department and all Regional Base Managers
Maintain Crew Schedule Integrity
To be considered for this role, ideally you'll have:
Experience/knowledge of airline, transport or logistic operations (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience working in a busy team based, operationally focused environment.Ability to work in an operational environment subjected to pressures of time and cost factors
Demonstrate a level of proficiency in MS Office and excel packages
Working knowledge of the Sabre Rocade system preferred but not essential
Have the ability to work on a 24-hour rotating shift rosterCustomer focussed - able to manage people - interpersonal skills
Innovative with the ability to manage change within the Company's growth
Ability to use own initiative and experience to achieve and maintain maximum efficiency and productivity.
Excellent time management skills and verbal and written communication skills
