We're looking for a reliable and hands-on Food & Beverage Supervisor to help lead day-to-day service at our wine & cocktail bar. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in consistency, teamwork, and high service standards, and who can be trusted to support the owner in running smooth, professional shifts.
You'll be the go-to person on shift — setting the tone, supporting staff, and ensuring guests receive an exceptional experience every time.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Floor Leadership
* Lead and supervise bar and floor staff during service
* Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service
* Step in proactively to resolve customer issues calmly and professionally
* Maintain the venue's atmosphere, presentation, and brand standards
Operations & Reliability
* Open and close the venue confidently and correctly
* Handle cash, POS operations, and end-of-shift procedures accurately
* Ensure all staff follow RSA, hygiene, and safety standards
* Monitor stock levels and report low stock or issues to management
* Ensure cleaning and closing checklists are completed every shift
Team Support & Culture
* Support, guide, and motivate team members during shifts
* Assist with training new staff and reinforcing procedures
* Communicate clearly with the owner regarding shift outcomes, issues, or concerns
* Lead by example with punctuality, professionalism, and work ethic
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Proven experience in hospitality (bar or restaurant environment)
* Strong reliability, honesty, and accountability
* Valid RSA (QLD)
* Confident leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on shift
* Strong attention to detail and organisation
Desirable
* Wine and cocktail knowledge
* Supervisory or key-holder experience
* Experience with opening/closing venues
* Passion for quality food, drinks, and guest experience
