School Custodian Job Description
Job Summary:
* Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
* Regularly check trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all designated areas.
Main Responsibilities:
* Sweeping, removing debris, cleaning spills, and mopping floors.
* Policing hard surfaces, wiping and cleaning tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
* Moving cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms.
* Complying with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards.
* Performing incidental seasonal tasks, such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, cutting grass, removing snow, and cleaning interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
