About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering or Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring plant equipment runs safely and efficiently. You'll lead maintenance activities, support process improvements, manage facilities and utilities, and coach your team to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Start-up, shutdown, and maintenance of plant equipment, including boilers.
Preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
Leading and coaching the engineering team.
Supporting equipment procurement, spare parts management, and process improvement initiatives.
Conducting risk assessments and contributing to Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
Supporting LEAN manufacturing initiatives, including 5S.
Managing and coordinating external contractors.
What We're Looking For
Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification (essential).
Valid Driver's License; Forklift and Boiler Licenses desirable.
Strong problem-solving, fault-finding, and diagnostic skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks, read technical drawings, and understand equipment operations.
Proven leadership experience in a similar maintenance or manufacturing role.
Knowledge of AUS/NZ standards, LEAN principles, and workplace safety systems.
Proficiency in MS Office and engineering monitoring software.
