What You'll Be Doing
As a Medical Secretary, you'll be the welcoming face and organisational backbone of our centre, supporting a dedicated Medical Oncologist. Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting patients and managing personal details
Scheduling appointments and coordinating consulting rooms
Handling phone enquiries with empathy and professionalism
Processing billing (Medicare, Private Health, DVA)
Ensuring smooth administrative care pathways for patients
Maintaining accurate patient records
Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives
Living and promoting Icon's values every day
What We're Looking For
Experience in a medical/surgical specialist setting
Knowledge of Medicare, DVA, and Private Health billing
Strong organisational and communication skills
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and medical terminology
A passion for delivering outstanding service
