About the Role:
Operate locomotives safely and efficiently on a variety of routes, ensuring timely arrival and departure. Key responsibilities include
* examining and certifying trains to ensure readiness for departure
* maintaining a high level of on-time running through effective route planning and management
* conducting brake testing on locomotives as required
* providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Your Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* a strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations
* availability to work a 24/7 shift roster, including night shifts and weekends
* experience working with Safe Working systems in NSW & Qld
* extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience
* a Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent qualification
