Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Fashion Design Assistant to join our design team.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with the development of new designs, including concept creation, mood boards, fabric research and seasonal inspiration.
* Help refine silhouettes, colour palettes and trim details for existing and new designs.
* Create and update high-quality CADs and technical drawings in Adobe Illustrator.
* Ensure all design files remain accurate and up-to-date by updating spec sheets.
* Support fitting processes and contribute to fit notes, garment adjustments and quality control checks.
* Assist with the creation of lookbooks, linesheets and development decks.
* Communicate effectively with offshore manufacturers on samples, comments and timelines.
* Track and manage samples, swatches, lab dips and strike-offs to ensure they are completed on schedule.
* Prepare purchase orders, bill of materials and production handovers.
* Manage fabric libraries, trims library and sample archive.
* Contribute to sustainability initiatives and fabric certification organisation.
* Support campaign shoots with styling prep, packing product and on-set organisation.
* Prepare for wholesale showings, including sample sets, labelling and organising SKUs.
* Maintain an organised design studio and digital files.
* Update Cin7 Core with new products and assist with SKU management.
* Perform ad-hoc creative and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
* Studied Fashion Design, Textile Design or Product Development.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
