About The Team
Established in 2004 at our Mandurah campus and expanded to Perth in 2016, the School of Nursing is part of the College of Health and Education and supports over 1,500 students across both locations. Our flagship Bachelor of Nursing program is complemented by growing postgraduate offerings in Health Care Management, Gerontological Healthcare, Research Training, and a joint MBA.

Your New Role
The Professor of Nursing is recognised as a leader in the discipline, with an international research profile and a strong reputation for academic excellence. The role provides strategic leadership at the College and University levels, promoting excellence in teaching, research, and professional activities.

A key responsibility of this role is the mentoring and development of future academics, contributing to the growth of future academic capacity at Murdoch University. The position requires a continuing high level of personal commitment to and achievement in nursing scholarship.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Providing research, academic and administrative leadership across the School, College, and University
* Leading internationally recognised research, securing major grants, and supervising higher degree research students
* Contributing to teaching excellence, curriculum development, and mentoring of academic staff

What We Offer You
This Continuous Full Time (37.5 hours per week) role attracts a remuneration of $209,366.00 at Level E (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you'll bring to the role:

* Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA and a PhD in a relevant nursing field
* Proven academic leadership, including team building and performance management in complex environments
* Extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, and successful supervision of postgraduate research students
* Strong research track record with high-impact publications and success in securing competitive research funding
* Demonstrated ability to engage with industry and external stakeholders to enhance teaching and research outcomes
