Overview
Join City of Parramatta as a Swim Instructor at the Parramatta Aquatic Centre (The PAC). The role focuses on delivering City of Parramatta's aquatic education and water safety programs with high-quality lesson content aligned with the program's goals and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Instruct lessons for students in water safety, water familiarisation, learn to swim and squads.
* Plan and deliver lessons with an emphasis on safety and variety for participants.
* Evaluate and adjust lesson plans to cater for the needs of the students.
* Organise and monitor the condition of teaching equipment for each lesson.
* Regularly assess students' progress.
* Provide a customer‐oriented environment.
* Promote teamwork and effective communication through collaborative work practices.
About You
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and water safety. No prior teaching experience is required. Flexibility and willingness to work a 7‐day rotating roster across multiple facilities is also required.
Required Qualifications
* Current Australian Swimming & Water Safety qualification
* Current CPR Certificate
* NSW Working with Children Check
Desired Qualifications
* Experience in swim teaching/coaching at all levels from Infants to Squads
* First aid certificate
* Current Australian Teacher of Infant & Preschool qualification
* Current Australian Teacher of Access & Inclusion qualification
* Current Australian Teacher of Adult qualification
* Current Australian Teacher of Competitive Strokes qualification
* Pool Lifeguard qualification
