The Role
Our Home Care services empower older people to live at home independently and safely. You will provide individualized care tailored to the needs of each client and their families.
We have permanent part-time roles offering a minimum of 10 - 20 hours a fortnight and will cover a variety of shifts, so you must be available and flexible within the hours of 08.00 - 16.00 ideally. We require a minimum of 2 days availability; days and hours are negotiable based on our clients' requirements in and around Upper Blue Mountains i.e Katoomba, Springwood, Blackheath and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
* Meal assistance, including shopping, meal preparation and help with eating
* Transport and accompaniment, including shopping trips and appointments
* Social support & activities, including outings and social activities.
* Personal care, showering, and bathing, general self-care duties
* Domestic assistance, light household cleaning.
* Medication assistance
Requirements
* Certificate III in aged care, disability or similar
* Current NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain one
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Current AU driver's license and a registered car with full insurance coverage
* Ability to communicate clearly; both written and verbal
* Ability to manage and prioritise work tasks in a timely manner
* Empathy for older and frail persons and respectful of boundaries
* Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working independently and remotely in customers' homes and in the local community.
