Sales Development Representative Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative to join our Sales team. The SDR team is focused on ensuring our products are first and foremost in the hearts and minds of teachers, educators, and our ultimate end user – the kids.
The ideal candidate will be a client-centric, task-driven individual with an ability to build trust and rapport with educators combined with the ability to listen, understand, and align our value propositions. They will be responsible for providing sales support to the new business sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pro-active and reactive management of both inbound and outbound client inquiries and outreach.
* Top of funnel lead management and CRM management.
The successful candidate will have 1 year(s) of successful Sales Support or Sales Development experience in a busy software focused Sales environment or target driven background. Preference will be given to candidates with EdTech experience or a background in K-12 Education.
Requirements:
* Experience or familiarity with the Education sector within Canada and the United States.
* Experience and aptitude for software solutions including CRM tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Gong.
* Ability to research and compile data and materials to drive actions.
The ideal candidate will also have excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills, and be able to smile and dial the phone, hold a conversation, listen, adapt, and educate K-12 Teachers, Principals and District leaders on our software product offerings.
