Job Title: Exercise Scientist
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Exercise Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our strength training environment, you will be responsible for educating and supervising clients on the training floor to achieve long-term health outcomes through strength training.
About the Role:
* Conduct 1:1 and group sessions, strength assessments, and movement analysis with clients.
* Apply scientific concepts (biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, motor control) and evidence-based practices to support clients.
* Provide evidence-based advice on health, fitness, well-being, and physical performance.
* Develop and implement exercise prescriptions and plans for clients.
* Establish, assess, and reassess goals for new and long-term clients.
* Guide athletes or clients with fitness goals to achieve peak performance and recover from injury.
* Complete a range of administrative duties.
Required Qualifications and Certifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Exercise/Sports Science or related discipline with at least two of the following units: Physiology & Anatomy, Biomechanics/Human Movement, Exercise Programming/Prescription.
* OR currently undertaking third year (or subsequent) of study in a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
* Relevant placement/practicum learning regarding Exercise Prescription.
* Valid working rights in Australia.
* First Aid & CPR Certification.
* Working with Children Check.
* National Police Check.
Desirable Qualifications and Certifications:
* 1+ years relevant work experience.
* Previous private practice experience.
* Previous experience with long-term management of client outcomes in a strength training environment.
