About the role - Staying on Track
Anglicare Southern Queensland is proud to deliver the new Staying on Track Program in several regions including Brisbane South, Brisbane North, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich/ Inala and Toowoomba. The Staying on Track Programs are part of the Queensland Government's Making Queensland Safe plan funded by the Qld Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support. The purpose of the Staying On Track (SoT) program is to improve community safety and reduce reoffending by bridging the transition to the community when young people are released from detention to help youth offenders turn their lives away from crime. Anglicare works in partnership with the Department of Youth Justice to ensure every young person will have a plan tailored to meet the assessed risks, needs and level of response required and focus on reducing the risk of reoffending by supporting them to prepare for a productive future in employment and community life. This role involves active outreach across the community, the courts, detention centres, and watchhouses.
