Overview
ATS Applied Tech Systems, a division of ATS Global B.V., Netherlands, is hiring an Electronics Engineer to design, integrate and commission SCADA and electronic monitoring systems for data centre and critical infrastructure projects across Australia and Asia-Pacific.

Essential — all of the following are required
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency
* Bachelor\'s degree in Electronics, Electronic & Automation, or Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or closely related discipline)
* Eligibility for Engineers Australia assessment at Professional Engineer level, ANZSCO 233411 (Electronics Engineer), or equivalent overseas assessment
* Eligibility to apply for registration as a Professional Engineer (Electrical) under the Victorian Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019 (or equivalent state scheme / National Engineering Register)
* Inductive Automation Ignition certification at Gold level or above.
* Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in electronics engineering on monitoring and control systems
* Minimum 3 years hands-on SCADA configuration, including at least 1 year on Inductive Automation Ignition (Perspective)
* Demonstrable integration experience with industrial protocols: Modbus RTU/TCP, BACnet, SNMP, EtherNet/IP and/or MQTT
* Working proficiency in Python scripting and SQL
* Proficient with Rockwell Studio 5000 PLC programming environment.
* Working proficiency in one of: Spanish, Italian, German or Turkish — required for daily collaboration with our delivery teams in Mexico, Spain, Italy, Germany and Turkey
* Strong written and spoken English
Highly regarded
* SCADA deployment in data centres, including BMS and EPMS platforms
* ICS / SCADA cybersecurity knowledge
* IoT hardware and edge computing (ESP32, industrial gateways)
* Knowledge of data centre power and cooling infrastructure (UPS, ATS, PDU, CRAC/CRAH, chillers)
The role
Designing electronic system architectures integrating PLCs, BMS, EPMS, UPS, ATS, VFDs, switchgear, chillers and environmental sensors into unified SCADA solutions on Inductive Automation Ignition. Full lifecycle ownership from FDS through FAT, SAT, site commissioning, client training and post-deployment support. Some travel within Victoria, interstate and within APAC up to 30% of the year is required.

* $97,000 – $103,000 + superannuation (commensurate with experience)
