About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for someone to learn more about the Department of Education's Conference Centre and support how the centre operates day to day. The role will work closely with the Workplace Improvement and Engagement team for the day to day operations of the Conference Centre and other duties as required. This is an excellent opportunity as a entry level position into the department to develop your career. The Customer Support Officer supports the delivery of a service support function. Through adept stakeholder engagement, the incumbent delivers exceptional customer assistance, providing timely support and quality service solutions. Responsibilities include: * On-site support to Conference Centre stakeholders, 4-5 days a week * Managing the Conference Centre inbox and responding to enquiries in a timely way * Coordination of Conference Centre guests including prioritising and negotiation between meeting organisers and responding to enquiries in a helpful, conscientious, flexible and timely way * Configuration of furniture according to requests including moving operable walls, tables and chairs and ensuring the centre is neat and tidy, and ensure provision of catering support to meet stakeholder requirements * Updating intranet guidance and procedure documents related to the Conference Centre, management of the milk and consumables, and catering support * Assisting with basic technology queries in the Conference Centre and liaising with the IMTD Tech Concierge on site for more complex requests * Ordering supplies and maintaining data of purchases for the Conference Centre. About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
