About the Role
As a Visitor Experience Officer, you will play an important part in creating positive and memorable experiences for our guests. You will be the friendly face of our attractions, welcoming visitors, answering enquiries, providing information about Nature Parks and Phillip Island, and promoting our commitment to conservation, eco-tourism, and sustainability.
This role suits someone who is passionate about wildlife and conservation, confident engaging visitors, and skilled at delivering warm, memorable service that brings our stories and conservation work to life.

* Scale 1 hourly rate - $32.91 inclusive of hourly allowance for 7-day roster (Mon to Sun) & public holidays
* Minimum of 20 hours per fortnight
* Casual
* Flexible hours based on operational needs.
* Scale 1 hourly rate- $41.14 inclusive of casual loading, hourly allowance for 7-day roster (Mon to Sun) & public holidays

As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a group interview session.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated high level of experience in customer service
* Previous experience in visitor engagement, sales and service duties within a fast-paced environment
* Ability to provide high quality service, information and guidance to a diverse range of visitors including non-English speaking visitors.
* Experience in system use, point of sale, ticketing systems and cash handling and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Proven ability to follow directions, de-escalate and resolve conflict and multi-task and prioritise in a diverse environment.
* Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to take responsibility for site safety as a trained Warden, including securing buildings, following emergency procedures, and confidently coordinating responses to ensure the wellbeing of visitors, staff, and volunteers.
* Tour guiding experience (Desirable)
