Facility Manager - Venue Leader (Sunbury)
Location: Sunbury VIC
Pay Rate: $49.14 per hour + super
Contract: 6 months, full-time (with potential for extension)
Randstad is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee the management and operations of a key community facility based in Sunbury. This role involves maintaining high standards of safety, service, and operational efficiency to ensure the smooth running of the venue.
About the Role:
As the Facility Manager, you will manage all aspects of the venue's daily operations, lead a small team, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to meet the needs of facility users. Your goal is to provide a safe, functional, and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing daily venue operations to ensure high standards of service, safety, and functionality.
2. Managing maintenance activities, including scheduled and emergency repairs, and supervising contractors.
3. Leading and mentoring staff to ensure effective performance and safety adherence.
4. Building and maintaining relationships with service providers, contractors, and stakeholders.
5. Conducting regular inspections to ensure safety, maintenance, and user satisfaction.
6. Ensuring compliance with OH&S standards and legislation, including risk assessments and safety audits.
7. Managing budgets to ensure resource efficiency and cost-effective operations.
8. Responding to customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and supporting the community and venue users.
9. Maintaining records and preparing reports on safety, maintenance, budgets, and operations.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in facility or venue management with strong leadership capabilities.
* Ability to manage maintenance, contractors, and team members effectively.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations relevant to venue management.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to challenges.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with teams, contractors, and customers.
* Experience in managing budgets and controlling expenditures.
Qualifications & Checks:
* Relevant qualification in Facility Management, Building Services, or related field (preferred).
* White Card (Construction Induction) - essential.
* Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
