To be successful in the Operations Supervisor role, you must consistently perform well against our success criteria:
- Ensure safe behaviour's in your workforce
- Day-to-day coordination of drivers
- Implementation of productivity improvements to meet agreed targets set by Supervisor
- Ensure the accurate and effective operation of all SUEZ on-board systems
- Ensure the accurate recording of fatigue breaks, productivity information and geocoding of customers
- Ensure completed run sheets and VCR's are collected at the end of every shift, following debrief
- Ensure all driver's notes and nominated tip locations on run sheets are up-to-date and accurate. This shall be achieved via close consultation with the Sales Team and the drivers
- Continuous improvement to increase route productivity and service excellence
- Compliance with contracted collection KPI's
- Understand impact of productivity (unproductive labour)
- Be proactive and timely in responding to all enquiries and issues
- Maintain strong relationships with customer representatives and driver work group
- Deal with people in a professional and positive manner
- Weekly payroll entry and confirmation
- Proactive management of workforce to reduce overtime spend
- High level of compliance
- Previous successful experience in a similar role (preferably environmental/operations)
- Demonstrated high order man-management skills
- Be able to clearly and effectively identify business requirements and propose solutions
- Superior communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills at a professional level
- Proficient computing skills
- Vision and high levels of motivation and drive
- Ability to display innovation and flexibility
- Strong attention to detail and numeric skills
- Intermediate to advanced level of aptitude in Word and Excel
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Time management and task prioritisation skills
- Persistence and resilience
- Planning and attention to detail
- Experience in Waste collections and Industrial Services
- Truck driving experience
- Formal leadership/supervisor training
- Industrial relations training
