Senior Ecologist – Newcastle An established and steadily growing environmental consultancy is expanding its Ecology team across Sydney and Newcastle. What you’ll be doing Manage and deliver your own portfolio of ecological and biodiversity projects. Lead field assessments and ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements. Prepare high-quality proposals, technical reports, BDARs, and related biodiversity assessments. Provide clear guidance to clients on NSW environmental legislation and approval pathways. Contribute to the development of innovative ecological survey methods and best practice. About You Ideally BAM Accredited, or working towards accreditation. Candidates who have delivered BDARs and are committed to gaining accreditation are strongly encouraged to apply. Strong flora and/or fauna identification skills, with a solid understanding of NSW biodiversity regulations. Demonstrated experience preparing ecological assessments and navigating regulatory approvals. Skilled in vegetation integrity plots, BDAR preparation, and biodiversity impact assessment. Excellent technical writing and communication skills. Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a similar discipline.
