In this role, you'll:
Take ownership of developing and delivering road, bridge and traffic infrastructure projects from initial investigations through to construction completion. You will work closely with internal specialists, external contractors and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Transport for NSW standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the end-to-end delivery process for road, bridge and traffic infrastructure projects to meet agreed time, cost, quality and scope requirements
• Leading investigation and design activities, including developing project briefs, preparing cost estimates and overseeing service providers.
• Preparing contract documentation, including technical specifications, to effectively administer and deliver contract works.
• Implementing cost management systems to ensure project budgets are well controlled and financial risks minimised.
• Ensuring high standards of safety and environmental management across all project and contract activities.
• Demonstrating Transport for NSW's Five Ways of Leading to support positive outcomes for customers, communities and team members.

About you
You are a motivated and solutions focused engineer with experience delivering bridge or road infrastructure projects within complex operating environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, can effectively balance competing priorities, and are committed to delivering high quality, safe and sustainable project outcomes for the community.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Knowledge of materials, equipment and construction techniques relevant to road, bridge and traffic infrastructure projects.
• Experience preparing accurate estimates, delivery briefs and project management plans including WHS, quality, environmental and traffic management.
• Experience managing a direct control workforce and overseeing contractors and service providers.
• Strong understanding of tendering and contract management processes.
• Proficiency in computer-based tools for project and information management.
• A four year engineering degree (Civil, structural or related) and a current Australian driver's licence or relevant professional expereince.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours and travel as required.
