We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to join our Defendant Insurance Litigation team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-level administrative support across a range of complex insurance litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end file management including opening, maintaining, and closing files.
* Drafting correspondence, legal documents, and court forms.
* Preparing briefs and court documents.
* Managing monthly billing and reporting.
* Liaising with clients and stakeholders.
* Diary, email, and travel coordination.
* General legal administrative and PA support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Prior experience in defendant insurance litigation is essential.
* Confidence working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal billing systems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A team-focused attitude with the ability to work autonomously.
