The company is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support strategic decision-making and business performance by providing high-quality financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and post month end revenue, direct wage, sub-contract and other accrual journals.
* Develop and present standard monthly management accounts and ad hoc reports.
* Provide analysis and commentary for monthly General Manager's Business Review packs.
* Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations for General ledger accounts.
* Monitor and manage AP, ensuring correct coding of purchase invoices and costs align with budget.
* Assist in preparing price increase claims.
* Analyse respective Awards and EAs, supporting operational managers with costings & rostering.
* Develop new reports using TM1 and other software to enhance financial controls.
* Review costings, analyse financial/cost variances and compile briefings to stakeholders as required.
Requirements:
* Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification.
* Proven experience in management accounting or a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial management processes.
* Solid knowledge of profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, general ledger and corporate reporting.
* Strong costing and commercial skills.
* A proactive approach to resolving issues.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
