Mechanical Supervisor – Live and Work in Weipa
Goodline is a leading construction and maintenance services provider working across a range of industries throughout Australia. We deliver a broad scope of works including shutdown maintenance, welding and fabrication, civil construction, equipment maintenance and mechanical services.
We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Weipa.
This role will see you leading and supporting a mechanical team across a range of maintenance and project works. You'll be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, supporting trades on site and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You'll also work closely with Superintendent, engineers and other trades to plan work, solve problems and keep projects moving. Building strong working relationships with both your team and our clients will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support a team of mechanical trades and personnel
• Coordinate and oversee mechanical maintenance and project works
• Conduct pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
• Work with Superintendent and other trades to plan and deliver work scopes
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for upcoming work
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
• Report incidents, near misses and participate in investigations when required
About You
• Trade qualified in a mechanical trade (Fitter, Boilermaker or similar)
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leading hand role
• Strong understanding of safety in mining or industrial environments
• Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and support a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Rio Tinto inductions highly regarded
• Understand and interpret drawings
• Structural and fabrication Skill
