Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled professional to manage a portfolio of projects for design and construction purposes. This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to review project budgets and schedules, and provide necessary feedback to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, cost reviews, payments, and coordination. They will also possess a general knowledge of construction industry standards and practices.
* Responsibilities include checking and monitoring work in progress against project agreements, approved schedules, contract documents, and approved project plans.
* Collecting and managing project documentation in accordance with procedures is also a key responsibility.
* The successful candidate will review funding requisitions for validity and recommend approval or disapproval.
* They will also follow up on required documentation from stakeholders to ensure efficient project funding.
Additionally, the job involves attending pre-construction conferences to familiarize developers, architects, and contractors with operating procedures. The candidate will provide advice regarding budgets, schedules, change orders, and disputes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology preferred. 10 years of direct relevant experience can substitute for a degree.
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Site Representative, Architect's Representative, or Construction Superintendent on multi-million-dollar projects.
* Able to interpret contract plans and specifications, cost estimating methods, materials and techniques, standard construction building requirements.
