About The OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager to join the Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN) programme within our Battlespace Integrated Solutions business. This key role reports to the Sustainment Capability Manager based in Adelaide and will be offered on a permanent full-time basis. We embrace flexible work arrangements, including a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
The JORN has been part of our nation's defence landscape for many decades and comprises three Over-The-Horizon-Radar (OTHR) systems that provide surveillance coverage of Australia's northern border. BAE Systems has been awarded the contract to manage the sustainment and upgrade of this 100 percent Australian solution that is strategically important to Australia's security.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply leadership, positive influence and effective communication to engage enterprise stakeholders to develop and maintain commitment to the programme strategic asset management plan
* Lead and support internal and external audits to maintain the programme ISO asset management certification
* Provide leadership to a team, coach and develop personnel, fostering a high performance culture
* Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximise asset utilisation and value for money outcomes
* Monitor the lifecycle of physical and financial assets, including acquisition, maintenance, depreciation and disposal
* Co-ordinate the programme total cost of ownership and Life Cycle Cost Model (LCCM) updates and deliveries
* Collaborate effectively with customers, internal and external stakeholders, establishing good relationships and maintaining a positive work culture
About YOU
* Extensive asset management experience – Relevant support engineering experience or relevant maintenance experience will also be considered
* People leadership experience and technical leadership experience
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders
* Knowledge / understanding of risk, cost analysis and finance
* Resiliency, good analytical and problem-solving skills
