Holy Cross Catholic Parish Primary School, Helensburgh is seeking a Primary Teacher (Visual Art) on a temporary part-time contract (0.20 FTE). 
Location: Helensburgh, NSW.

Position Details 
Role: Primary Teacher – Visual Art (Contract Part Time). 
Teaching Subject: Visual Art. 
Location: Holy Cross Catholic Parish Primary School, Helensburgh. 
Contract: Part Time (0.20 FTE), temporary from 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026. 
The successful applicant will teach Creative Arts, Music, Dance and Drama. 
The role exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. 
Responsibilities 
Plan and deliver teaching across relevant Key Learning Areas; implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy; use a range of assessment methods and analyse data to inform student learning. 
Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on PB4L principles. 
Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community. 
Deliver Creative Arts, including Visual Arts, and participate in Music, Dance and Drama activities as required. 
Essential Selection Criteria 
Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church. 
Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas. 
Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning. 
Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy. 
Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning. 
Commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community. 
Desirable Selection Criteria 
Experience in delivering Creative Arts syllabus including Music, Dance and Drama. 
Willingness to work with a school choir or dance group. 
General Capabilities 
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). 
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
Robust organisational skills. 
Qualifications 
Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6. 
Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW. 
Accredited with NESA to teach in NSW. 
Working With Children Clearance 
This role is classified as child-related work and requires a Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with CEDoW.
