About the role
Finance Manager - Loy Yang Station. Join the AGL Loy Yang finance team within our Commercial Partnering & Integrated Planning division. This role will become a trusted financial advisor across the AGL Loy Yang site by ensuring financial outcomes are measured accurately and efficiently and communicating them in a timely manner. You will be responsible for the financial stewardship and commercial insight that enables AGL Loy Yang to meet its operational, financial, and strategic objectives. The role provides leadership across all financial processes for Station Operations, Maintenance and Capital.
Key responsibilities
* Coach the Station Leadership team in the understanding of their Finances.
* Develop annual budgets and forecasts with clear assumptions, risks, scenarios and opportunities.
* Provide forward‐looking insights into cost drivers, labour impacts, maintenance programs and capital priorities.
* Deliver month‐end results aligned to AGL, Integrated Energy and site requirements.
* Provide clear driver‐based variance analysis (what happened, why, and what next).
* Collaborate with other Finance team members to provide insights into cash flow impacts from operational and capital activities.
* Contribute to labour reporting across P&L and balance sheet, in coordination with the broader Loy Yang Finance team.
* Lead capability uplift and cross‐skilling within the Finance team.
About you
You are either an established Finance Manager or a Senior Finance Business Partner ready to make the next career step. You have high commercial acumen, a consultative approach and the ability to shift from a transactional approach to an insights‐led function. This will set you up for success in this role.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and financial governance requirements.
* Proven capability to design, improve and embed new processes, including standardisation, automation and simplification of finance workflows.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust, challenge constructively and partner effectively at all levels of the organisation.
* In‐depth experience in financial analysis, performance reporting and forecasting, with a strong focus on drivers, cost insights and commercial outcomes.
* Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce/Business or related discipline.
* CPA or CA are highly regarded but not essential.
