About the Role
As a Baker, you’ll play a key role in preparing, baking, and finishing a wide range of breads and bakery products in a busy, hands-on workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Measuring and mixing ingredients to specifications
Kneading, rolling, shaping, and baking doughs
Operating bakery machinery including mixers, ovens, and dough dividers
Monitoring oven temperatures and product timing to ensure consistent quality
Applying finishes such as glazes, seeds, or toppings
Ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
Contributing to product innovation and seasonal offerings
Assisting with inventory and stock rotation
About You
You’re a reliable, early riser who thrives in a team and takes pride in creating high-quality baked goods.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of commercial baking experience, or
A relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent)
Proven ability to produce high-volume bakery items without compromising quality
Strong understanding of dough fermentation, proofing, and baking techniques
Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and under time pressure
Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency
Desirable:
Experience with sourdough and slow-fermentation breads
Pastry or viennoiserie skills
Food Safety/HACCP certification
