We are looking for a new team member to join our team in Nowra, NSW as a Fulltime Production Planner.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Planner will adopt a continuous improvement mindset in rationalising ERP processes to create an agile purchasing function that best supports the production plan and site capabilities whilst optimising inventory and human resources. The Production Planner also ensures, through proper planning, that all orders are produced in full and stakeholders are informed of any shortages or delays in the production process.
* Coordinate all planning and scheduling activities to meet production targets;
* Communicate production priorities to the production team;
* Generate planning reports, identifying, and manage potential shortfalls;
* Adjust production schedule based on forecast sales and confirmed orders;
* Attend all production meetings communicate with all relevant stakeholders ensuring production demands are met;
* Maintains updates and continually improves a master schedule of outstanding works orders to meet shipping date requirements via our ERP system as well as internal processes;
* Reviews routine production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products;
* Analyses production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements;
* Plans and schedules workflow for each department/work-center and operation;
* Confers with Supply Chain team members to determine status of specific orders;
* Expedites operations that respond to unforeseen events and alters planning as required.
To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have;
* Experience in a similar manufacturing environment
* Experience in ERP software
* High Level of attention to detail
* Advanced computer literacy – Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent Planning and organizational skills
* Proven ability in solving demand and supply related issues working with internal and external stakeholders.
