About the role
The Recovery Practitioner, Accommodation provides person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery support to single adult women and single young pregnant and/or parenting women who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.
Working from a strengths-based framework, you will empower women to build stability, resilience and independence through case management, practical assistance, and connection to community supports.
This role will involve both individual and group-based support, including developing case plans, facilitating workshops, and helping women transition successfully into safe and sustainable housing. Approximately 65% of your work will focus on adult women, with the remainder supporting young mothers and their families.

This position is a permanent, full-time role and based at our AdultWomen's Housing and Homeless Services at Toowong, QLD.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality, client case management and support services.
* Undertake assessments, develop case plans and facilitate goal setting using trauma-informed approaches.
* Support women and young mothers to access safe housing, develop life skills, and enhance wellbeing and self-determination.
* Facilitate group activities and workshops promoting personal development, parenting skills, and community connection.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and case notes in line with ASQ standards.
* Build collaborative relationships with internal teams, housing providers and community agencies.
* Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives to support service excellence.
* Uphold Anglicare's values and promote safety, respect and dignity in all interactions.
Qualifications, Credentials and Requirements
* Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field, and/or equivalent practical experience in the homelessness sector.
* Demonstrated experience providing case management and assessment support to adult and young women at risk of homelessness.
* Understanding and application of Trauma Informed and Recovery Oriented practice.
* Experience delivering intervention strategies relating to family support, homelessness, and at-risk women and children.
* Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Competent in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
* Current Blue Card (Working with Children).
* Current Queensland Driver Licence.
* Commitment to flexible working hours as required.
