Responsibilities
* Ensuring your area is properly organized, staffed and directed.
* Ordering required food and equipment daily to satisfy the production plan.
* Providing decisive leadership and on the job training to lower level staff members.
* Executing and supervising food production, packing & tray-set activities.
* Preparing complex meals or dishes, to specifications provided.
* Monitoring and ensuring KPI compliance across the business, including recipe specifications.
* Monitoring and controlling labour, food costs and shrinkage to budget.
* Participating in the development of food products and menus as needed for customer menu presentations.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated success in a similar role.
* Trade qualified Chef with at least 2 years' experience in a high volume food production environment.
* Advanced knowledge of HACCP / QSAI / Food Safety and OHS.
* Prior experience with airline catering and service oriented.
* Prior experience working in a team environment with demonstrated leadership skills.
* Prior experience in a HALAL working environment and knowledge regarding segregation and separation of equipment.
* Good financial understanding and cost conscious.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
* As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
* Availability to work 38 hours/week, as this role is a full-time permanent position.
