SYPAQ is an industry leader in C4ISREW and autonomous systems integration, product development, and consulting services, with established engineering and IT teams across projects in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane. Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ is seeking a team of Software Developers for an opportunity with Defence. These opportunities are based in Edinburgh and offer an immediate start.
We are seeking web and software development support from experienced software developers over an 8 month period to assist in meeting project milestones by working in close collaboration with the R&D team.
Responsibilities
* Full stack web application development to extend the functionality of the existing prototype (JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Angular 2+, Material UI, Neo4J, PostgreSQL).
* Development using containerisation technologies (Docker).
* Developing APIs to interact with key databases, including Neo4J and PostgreSQL.
* Support for automated ingestion and processing of data from a variety of third party tools.
* Workflow and results processing, including automated contextualisation of data.
* Software development will be in conjunction with the Department's Staff using an agile methodology. Personnel will be expected to work with minimal supervision and contribute to code-review, testing and deployment activities.
Technologies
* JavaScript Development Using Angular 2+ and Node.js.
* Experience Working with Docker.
* Git-based Pull Request Workflows and Agile Development Methodologies.
* Typescript Development.
* Angular Material UI API.
* Neo4J and PostgreSQL.
* RESTful API Development and Systems Integration.
* Networking and Linux Environments.
Qualifications
Previous Defence experience will be highly regarded. The successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen with a minimum of Baseline Security Clearance or higher.
