Our client is seeking an experienced risk and governance professional to step into a critical role coordinating enterprise risk, internal audit, and insurance functions in this newly created role.

This position is all about building resilience, driving compliance, and ensuring the organisation has the right frameworks in place to effectively manage risk and support long-term sustainability.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will:
* Lead the independent internal audit program – from planning and procurement through to delivery and reporting.
* Partner with the Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee to ensure strong governance and follow-through on actions.
* Embed and apply the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the organisation.
* Oversee business continuity planning – working with all teams to strengthen organisational resilience.
* Manage the insurance portfolio including renewals, claims, and insurer liaison.
* Provide education, advice, and clear communication to managers and staff on risk management and compliance.
* Support governance systems and ensure continuous improvement across audit and risk practices.
About You
You will bring proven experience in risk management, internal audit, governance, or insurance, ideally in a regulated or complex environment. Highly organised and collaborative, you can balance detail with big-picture thinking and are confident engaging with senior stakeholders and committees.
