About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity within our Operational Engineering Maintenance team as a Leading Hand. We are seeking several self-motivated, enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join us, with proven industry experience in road, drainage and infrastructure asset maintenance. The role may suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable in high-traffic areas where safety is a priority, while operating and maintaining tools, plant and other equipment such as trucks, skid steers, quick cut saws and rollers.
The Successful Appointees Will Be Responsible For
- Leading an engineering maintenance team.
- Operating and maintaining a variety of tools, plant and equipment.
- Undertaking maintenance of the City's road and drainage infrastructure.
About You
As a key member of the Operational Engineering Maintenance team, the successful appointees should be adaptable and thrive in a very busy, change-driven organisation.
Applicants must demonstrate, via their resume and cover letter, that they meet the following essential criteria:
- Experience in leading a maintenance team.
- Proven knowledge of road and drainage infrastructure maintenance procedures.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of multi-function plant and equipment.
- Proficiency with information systems and technology.
- Strong knowledge of Work, Health and Safety in the workplace, including hazard identification in road and drainage infrastructure maintenance activities.
- Main Roads WA Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Controller accreditation.
- MR class vehicle licence.
- Safety awareness certification (Blue/White card).
