Our client is a large multidisciplinary consultancy providing specialist geotechnical services with opportunities for ambitious geotechnical engineers. They have a global footprint including offices in most major cities across Australia and New Zealand with projects to match.
Due to measured growth in Queensland, my client is searching for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or a Geotechnical Engineer ready to step up, to join the Brisbane Geotechnical Team.
Candidates with a background in site investigation or design are invited to apply, Ideally, you will have experience working in Queensland and have a solid understanding of local ground conditions and have or are close to CPEng and RPEQ
From a design perspective your experience could include working on a range of geotechnical project types including earthworks, foundation and retaining wall design, 2D and 3D settlement analysis, assessment of soft and compressible soils, deep excavations and perhaps even temporary works.
From a site investigation perspective your experience could include writing proposals, scoping up investigations, co-ordinating subbies, supervising and or performing the site work including, test pitting, hand augers, bore hole logging, monitoring CPTs, along with lab scheduling, HSE and reporting.
You should have experience writing factual reports with a level of interpretation dependant on your experience level, along with writing technical memos from a design perspective.
Exposure to software packages should include Plaxis 2D & 3D, Slide, Wallap. LimitState, CPetIt and pLog dependant on your level of project involvement.
