Therapeutic Specialist Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Therapeutic Specialist to join our team. As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will work closely with children and young people who have suffered trauma, neglect, and disrupted attachment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical assessment, consultancy, and therapeutic support to the Berry Street Western Therapeutic Residential Care program. This includes conducting assessments and developing therapeutic treatment plans in conjunction with the client and care team, as well as working collaboratively with the Teaching Family Model consultant to support staff, provide training, and implement the model in a tailored approach for each child.
We are seeking a qualified professional with a sound understanding of therapeutic parenting strategies and experience in providing complex direct services to children, young people, and families. A relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification in a Health or Welfare related field is essential, along with significant experience conducting clinical work with children (minimum 5 years).

Key Responsibilities:
* Providing clinical assessment and consultancy services to the Berry Street Western Therapeutic Residential Care program
* Developing therapeutic treatment plans in conjunction with the client and care team
* Working collaboratively with the Teaching Family Model consultant to support staff, provide training, and implement the model in a tailored approach for each child
* Helping residential staff to incorporate the model in a therapeutic manner
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification in a Health or Welfare related field
* Significant experience conducting clinical work with children (minimum 5 years)
* Sound decision-making skills and excellent clinical judgement
* Ability to provide targeted clinical services within strict timeframes
