About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Retail Pharmacist to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with the Pharmacist Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.
You will play a key part in leading and supporting pharmacy staff, managing inventory, and contributing to business growth, all while maintaining strict compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications,providing expert guidance on the safe and effective use of medicines, and supportingpatient health and wellbeing through the delivery of high-quality professional services.
Key Responsibilities
· Dispense and check prescriptions in accordance with legal, professional, andethical standards.
· Provide professional counselling to patients on medication use, potential sideeffects, and interactions.
· Conduct professional pharmacy services such as vaccinations, medicationreviews (HMRs/RMMRs), dose administration aids, and health-screening services.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS),pharmacy legislation, and professional guidelines.
· Ensure accurate record-keeping, inventory control, and compliance with PBSrequirements.
· Oversee dispensary workflow and assist with stock management, ordering, andinvoicing.
· Supervise and support pharmacy assistants and dispensary technicians.
· Promote customer care, health awareness, and community wellbeing.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
· Mandatory: Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
· Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia.
· Minimum 2 to 3 years' full-time experience as a registered pharmacist.
· Strong communication and customer-service skills.
· Sound understanding of PBS procedures, clinical governance, and pharmacy operations.
· Immunising pharmacist preferred (training can be provided)
· A commitment to continuous professional development
