Taldumande Youth Services is seeking reliable and motivated Casual Youth Workers to join our Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) team.
You'll work primarily at our North Shore refuge and semi‐independent houses on the Northern Beaches and North Shore. Your role will involve supporting young people (12–24) in their daily lives, building trust, and helping them develop independence.
Note: Sleepover shifts are a mandatory part of this role.
What You'll Do
* Build positive, trusting relationships
* Deliver activities that build life skills and independence
* Respond to challenging situations calmly and safely
* Maintain a structured and supportive environment
* Complete case notes and assist with household duties
About You
* Certificate IV in Youth Work (or related field)
* 2+ years' experience in community services, preferably residential care
* Flexible for evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts
* Confident, reliable, and approachable
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Current NSW Driver's Licence, First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Willing to complete Working With Children Check & National Police Check

* Are you ok with doing Sleepover shifts - as this is Mandatory part of this role
* Are you Flexible for morning, evening, weekends and even Sleepover shifts, if so what days and times are you available?
Taldumande Youth Services is a not-for-profit organisation that supports vulnerable children, young people and their families. We operate the only 24/7 crisis refuge for young people across Sydney and offer supported accommodation and community programs that provide a streamlined pathway, from homelessness and family breakdown, to independence and stability.
On any given night in Australia, around 25,000 young people aged 12–24 are homeless. Family breakdown is the leading cause of homelessness, with young people often experiencing significant trauma from sexual, physical or emotional abuse, neglect, mental health issues or drug and alcohol use.
