About the Role
This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to transition your skills from the logistics sector to the dynamic world of airline catering — ensuring every flight is equipped with fresh, high-quality meals prepared with care.
Your day will include:
* Assisting in preparing food and beverage carts for flights
* Safely loading and unloading catering supplies, carts, and ovens from trucks and aircraft
* Addressing any discrepancies promptly and maintaining accurate records
* Performing general cleaning and hygiene duties
* Supporting catering operations to keep everything running smoothly
Full Training Provided
Don't worry if you haven't worked airside before — we'll train you and help you gain your HR Licence, ASIC and ADA certifications.
If you've got a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, we'll take care of the rest.
Once cleared for airside operations you day will include:
* Load catering onto aircraft, ensuring compliance with company, airport, and airline policies.
* Guide and position trucks for efficient loading and unloading processes.
* Interact professionally with airline crew, representing Foodfolk's commitment to quality service.
* Apply biosecurity knowledge to maintain safe and compliant operations.
* Learn to operate hi-lift trucks airside, enhancing your skill set within the logistics and catering industry.
What You'll Bring:
* No formal education requirements; however, a background in logistics or catering is advantageous.
* Valid driver's license; experience driving heavy vehicles is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and airline staff.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.'
* Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
