EXPERIENCED CASUAL ANIMAL ATTENDANT
We're looking for a caring and reliable casual Animal Attendant to join our team, ideally someone local who is committed to building a career in hands-on animal care.
What you'll do:
* Help with daily running of our cat hotel – check-ins, check-outs, and cat care.
* Keep hotel and clinic areas clean and hygienic.
* Watch animal health and behaviour, and report any concerns.
* Give medications as directed by vets.
* Provide friendly service at reception and on the phone.
* Play with and enrich cats to keep them happy and stimulated.
* Record feeding, care, and any issues.
* Provide clients with video and photo updates of their cats.
* Photograph, write and schedule social media posts.
* Assist vets with handling pets during exams and procedures.
What we're looking for:
* At least one year in professional animal care (cat experience is a big plus).
* Flexibility across the week, including weekends.
* Strong passion for animal welfare and excellent standards of care.
* Reliability and genuine care for the animals, our hotel, and the team.
* Good communication and teamwork.
* High attention to cleanliness and detail.
* Able to work independently and take initiative.
* Certificate II in Animal Care or equivalent animal care qualification (preferred but not essential for exceptional candidates)
* Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
* Computer skills, preferably in vet software
* Previous customer service experience, particularly in a care or service environment
