We're a busy but down-to-earth family in Port Melbourne looking for a caring, responsible, and organised nanny to become part of our household. The role involves caring for our two children, aged 3 and 5, and helping to keep family life running smoothly.
The Role
We're looking for someone available for 18hrs a week on the following schedule:
* Tuesday – 12pm – 5pm
* Thursday 12pm – 5pm
Flexibility is a big plus — especially if you're open to extra hours during school holidays.
We're hoping to find someone who can step into our rhythm, align with our parenting approach, and help foster a fun, positive, and supportive environment for our children each day.
Our much-loved nanny of five years has recently relocated, so this is a special opportunity to join our family as the next valued member of our "family team" — someone who feels appreciated, included, and part of our daily life.
We arelooking for a long-term appointment and not someone who is only here for a short period of‑time or looking to fill space during studies or travel.
What a Day Might Look Like
* Helping the kids with morning routines and lunchboxes
* School and kinder drop‑offs/pick‑ups and after‑school activities (family car provided)
* Light household tasks: tidying, laundry/ironing, keeping the kitchen organised, general home upkeep
* Grocery shopping, local errands, and market visits
* Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
* Engaging the kids in fun, age‑appropriate activities and play
* Maintaining open and respectful communication with parents about routines, needs, and development
* Offering flexibility for the occasional evening babysitting or extra support on weekends or during school holidays
About You
We're looking for someone with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience, but the right personality and family fit are most important to us.
* Warm, gentle, and caring, with a genuine love of children
* Playful and creative — able to make every day engaging and joyful
* Organised, proactive, and thoughtful in your approach
* Reliable and flexible, happy to adapt as family life changes
* Happy to lend a hand wherever needed — errands, tidying up, etc.
* Confident working independently but enjoys being part of family life
Requirements
* Driver's licence and clean driving record (essential)
* Current Working with Children Check (essential)
* Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* First Aid / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Not allergic to cats (we have one friendly feline)
We'd love to meet someone who lights up around children and would love to become part of a warm, welcoming family; we would love to hear from you.
Please only apply if you meet the listed requirements.
