About The Role
This role is to implement, maintain, and optimize data warehouse objects and processes. They will ensure the efficient utilisation of the infrastructure, including storage, transformation, and retrieval of data to support the business intelligence service, including both analysis and analytics.
This role is responsible for implementing scalable data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions using appropriate technology.
This role will deliver to specifications based upon business and technical functional requirements received from the Business Analysis and Business Intelligence services at CTM. The deliverables should empower SID internal customers by providing them with the necessary support, training, education, tools, resources and autonomy to conduct their business.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database development (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, ADF).
- Knowledge of data modelling principles (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure) and their data warehousing solutions - Azure Synapse, Data Lake Analysis services and data bricks.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell) for automation.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
