About The Role

The manager for this role is the Sales Director, Public Sector. They are based in Australia and lead our Public Sector sales function nationally, with a focus on building strong client relationships, developing high-performing sales talent, and driving consistent, sustainable growth. Their leadership style is collaborative and outcomes-focused, with an emphasis on clear expectations, coaching, and continuous development.

As an Account Executive (Public Sector), you will be responsible for prospecting and developing net new and existing Public Sector clients and selling Software Volume Licensing Agreements, software and hardware products, and IT services solutions. We will count on you to consistently achieve your quarterly sales budgets, grow gross profit across software, hardware and services, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Along the way, you will get to

* Build and execute a territory plan, including identifying and developing new business opportunities in the Public Sector
* Attain quarterly gross profit quota across software, hardware and services
* Meet or exceed minimum sales expectations and revenue targets
* Provide advice to clients on software licensing needs, hardware and services solutions, including Software Asset Management and Digital Innovation
* Achieve 100% of client renewals across your assigned accountsMaintain 100% accurate and timely updates in our CRM (Salesforce)
* Manage your pipeline with rolling quarter visibility, ensuring all software, hardware, services and renewal opportunities are captured
* Conduct territory planning through Quarterly Business Reviews for top accounts, identifying business needs and growth opportunities
* Build strong vendor partnerships (e.g., Microsoft and other key partners) to identify and progress sales leads
* Attend product-specific and other sales training as directed by the Regional Sales Manager
* Maintain awareness of competitor activity and market trends in Public Sector IT
* Maintain relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Citrix)
* Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by management in support of Public Sector growth

What We're Looking For

* Previous IT sales experience, ideally within the Public Sector
* Clear evidence of consistent target overachievement in a profit and margin-driven sales environment
* Proven record of account development across a complex portfolio of products and services (software, hardware and services)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong business acumen, with the ability to make sound commercial decisions
* Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated, ongoing interest in learning about and understanding IT products and solutions
