Maintenance Manager – Visy Board

The Opportunity
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our Fibre Packaging team at Yatala. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance—mechanical, electrical and preventative—across a high-volume, state-of-the-art corrugating and converting facility.
You’ll lead a team of supervisors and planners, working closely with operations, production and national engineering to drive performance, reduce downtime, and maintain a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the maintenance team to deliver safe, reliable plant performance and adherence to OHSE standards.
* Drive preventative maintenance planning in line with operational schedules.
* Ensure compliance with Visy’s Safety Systems and statutory maintenance inspections.
* Collaborate with production to optimise machine reliability and reduce waste.
* Oversee budget planning and control for repairs, maintenance and capital purchases.
* Monitor inventory of spare parts and manage contractor and supplier relationships.
* Champion 5S and continuous improvement practices across the site.
* Support and develop the team through structured performance, training and workforce planning.
What You Will Bring to the Team
* Proven leadership in maintenance or engineering management, ideally in FMCG or industrial manufacturing.
* Strong technical knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Demonstrated experience driving safety, compliance and process reliability.
* Ability to manage budgets, plan resources and lead RCA and improvement initiatives.
* Effective communicator and stakeholder manager—both internally and externally.
* Engineering trade or tertiary qualifications are essential.
