What You'll Do
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This is a role for a first-principles thinker who is passionate about building elegant, secure, and scalable software. You will be working on the core platform that powers our AI-driven products, solving unique challenges at the intersection of systems engineering, data, and machine learning.
While your initial focus will be on enhancing our core platform (Next.js, PostgreSQL), we are hiring for the future. As we continue our rapid growth, you will be a key architect of our technical evolution, guiding decisions on everything from our service architecture to our data storage paradigms and security posture.

* Build and Own the Core Product: Take a leading role in designing and building critical features on our core platform, shipping high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code
* Architect for Scale and Data Flexibility: Lead technical design discussions, applying knowledge of scalable systems and data modelling paradigms (Relational/SQL and NoSQL) to shape our long-term roadmap
* Uphold Engineering Excellence: Set a high bar for software quality and craftsmanship, championing best practices in system design, testing, CI/CD, and observability
* Solve Hard Problems at the Intersection of AI and Systems: Collaborate with product and AI teams to build robust, scalable backend systems for intelligent user experiences
* Mentor and Elevate: Act as a technical leader and mentor, helping to grow the skills of the engineering team
What you\'ll bring
* 4+ years of professional experience in full stack web development using TypeScript
* Strong fundamentals in Computer Science and Software Engineering, including complexity, concurrency, data structures, algorithms, software design principles (SOLID, modularity, separation of concerns and security)
* Strong systems and infrastructure fundamentals with distributed computing, networking basics, cloud-native architectures and cybersecurity
* Strong expertise in data modeling and databases, with relational databases and performance tuning; familiarity with NoSQL like DynamoDB or MongoDB
* Strong expertise in generative AI and its applications, capable of designing and building systems, pipelines, and integrations for AI-enhanced features
Even better if you have
* Distributed Systems Design: Experience with designing or operating microservices or service-oriented architectures
* Infrastructure and DevOps: Deep experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, etc.), cloud architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Architectural Migrations: Experience helping evolve a monolithic application
