Position Purpose
To assist business in recruiting and onboarding new staff, as well as ensuring business is compliant with government legislation.
Additional Purpose Responsibilities:
• Ensure employee records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards
• Ensure staff meet mandatory compliance requirements prior to commencement and during employment
• Maintain audit-ready HR and compliance systems at all times
• Support compliance with NDIS, SCHADS Award, and Fair Work requirements
Main Tasks
Core objectives include:
• Interviewing and onboarding new employees
• Ensuring employee information is up to date
• Act as the main point of contact for HR-related enquiries
• Ensuring staff have access to relevant training resources
• Conduct internal audits and prepare for NDIS audit
• Ensuring organisation is compliant with NDIS framework
• Maintain up to date and in-depth knowledge of NDIS and SCHADS award guidelines
Additional Core Responsibilities
Staff Compliance Management:
• Ensure all staff have valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, First Aid and CPR
• Maintain complete and accurate staff files
• Monitor expiry dates and notify renewals
Recruitment and Workforce Administration:
• Coordinate recruitment, job postings, and screening
• Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation
• Maintain employee records
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
Compliance and Audit Readiness:
• Ensure all staff records are audit-ready
• Conduct internal compliance reviews
• Support preparation for NDIS audits
• Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and SCHADS Award
Training and Certification Tracking:
• Maintain training records
• Monitor compliance and certifications
• Notify management of compliance risks
HR Support:
• Assist with HR administration
• Maintain workforce compliance
• Identify and report compliance risks
Skills and Experience
Essential:
• Experience in HR, administration, or compliance role
• Strong organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional communication skills
Desirable:
• Experience in NDIS or community services
• Knowledge of SCHADS Award
Other Requirements
• Current Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Full working rights in Australia
