About the Role
As a Senior IT Support Technician you'll provide high‑level technical support to a wide range of clients, both onsite and remotely. You'll troubleshoot complex issues, work on server and network environments, and oversee upgrades, installations and project deployments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and solving challenging technical problems within a supportive team environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing onsite and remote IT support to business clients.
* Prioritising and responding to support tickets within our helpdesk system.
* Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications.
* Troubleshooting server, network and system issues to diagnose and resolve faults.
* Monitoring and maintaining client systems, networks and backups.
* Assisting with rollout and upgrade projects across diverse environments.
* Building strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and team members.
Essential Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in an IT support role.
* Degree or Diploma in ICT, or Microsoft Certifications (MCTS/MCSE).
* Strong experience with Microsoft infrastructure, including Windows Server 2012/2019/2022.
* Proven ability to troubleshoot complex Windows and server issues.
* Experience working with networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Requirements
* Experience with Microsoft SQL (database maintenance).
* Exposure to wireless networking systems.
* Experience with large or complex networks and systems.
* Previous involvement in rollout or upgrade projects.
* IP telephony and/or data cabling experience.
