A Chinese-speaking Warehouse Manager is needed for a warehouse and logistics role in South Sydney.
Warehouse & Logistics ManagerA Food Distributor in Sydney's Inner West is looking for a skilled, team-orientated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager’s duties will include:
- Picking and packing items from freezer
- Follows and enforces food safety protocols
- Communicates with Sales Team and Finance Team daily
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Leading a team of pick packers
- Knowledge of HAACP and OHS
- Use of pallet mover
- General warehousing duties
- Receiving and dispatching
- Inventory checking & controlling stock levels
- Overview quality checks on equipment and storage items
- Ensuring the warehouse is clean, presentable, and safe for all workers and for visitors to the site
- Reporting and dispatching
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse and pick-packing teams in both dry and frozen storage environments.
- Oversee
Inbound and outbound logistics, stock rotation, and order accuracy.
- Manage daily
Pick, pack, and dispatch operations, ensuring KPIs are met.
- Maintain compliance with
Cold storage safety, hygiene, and food handling standards.
- Optimise warehouse layout and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as stock accuracy, order fulfilment rates, and labour productivity.
- Ensure
Workplace Health & Safety (WHS)
Compliance, including manual handling and cold storage safety protocols.
- Collaborate with logistics, production, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a
Warehouse Manager, Cold Storage Supervisor, or Pick Packing Team Leader.
- Fluent in English and Chinese.
- Strong understanding of
Cold storage operations
And HACCP/food safety compliance.
- Hands-on knowledge of
Warehouse management systems (WMS), barcoding, and scanning technology.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, supply chain and organisational skills
- Proven leadership skills – ability to train, motivate, and manage teams in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift licence.
