The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking an experienced and influential leader to take on the role of District Director (Wide Bay Burnett) within our Southern Queensland Region. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of transport infrastructure and services across a region that supports thriving industries, growing communities, and world‑class destinations.
As District Director, you will provide strategic leadership, expert guidance and strong operational oversight across a significant road network and major infrastructure investment program, including contributions to statewide initiatives such as the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) and the Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program.
In This Pivotal Role You Will
Lead, plan and deliver complex transport and road infrastructure projects and programs.
Represent TMR at a senior level, providing authoritative advice to the Minister, Regional Director and executive leadership.
Build trusted and collaborative relationships with community, industry, First Nations stakeholders, government partners, and delivery teams.
Drive excellence in safety, performance, governance, design, construction, and maintenance activities.
Inspire, develop and lead a multidisciplinary workforce committed to delivering outcomes for Queenslanders.
