Role Overview
The Receptionist / Administration Officer provides high level reception and administrative support to patients, visitors and staff of the Medical Imaging Department. The receptionist will process referrals, make outpatient bookings and ensure all patient information is up to date and accurately recorded. The incumbent is required to provide a high level of customer service using efficient and effective communication and to participate in a roster to ensure adequate administrative cover for the department's needs, which may include similar duties in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. The incumbent may also be required to provide transcriptions of imaging reports approved by Radiologists.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‐level reception and administrative support to patients, visitors and staff.
- Process referrals, make outpatient bookings, and maintain accurate patient information.
- Deliver excellent customer service through efficient and effective communication.
- Participate in a roster to ensure adequate administrative cover for departmental needs.
- Transcribe imaging reports approved by Radiologists when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a busy, customer‐facing administrative role.
- Ability to handle complex enquiries and resolve issues with patients or visitors.
- Strong data entry accuracy and ability to balance speed with accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
